About Gene Watson's 'Between This Time & The Next Time'...

Overview
'Having enjoyed a very successful five-year (1975 - 1980) career at Capitol Records, Gene Watson joined the roster at MCA Records, but he did not rest on his laurels.

Gene Watson's run of hit singles on the Billboard country music singles chart also continued with the release of 'Between This Time & The Next Time' (MCA Records, 1981), which yielded two hit singles on the Billboard country music singles chart in 1981, 'Between This Time & The Next Time' (No. 18, 1981) and 'Maybe I Should Have Been Listening' (No.23, 1981).

Gene Watson's 'Between This Time & The Next Time' (MCA Records, 1981), his first album for MCA Records, showcased his fine talent for selecting just the perfect song to record.

Gene Watson's 'Between This Time & The Next Time' (MCA Records, 1981) also demonstrated Gene Watson's respect for his fellow country music peers with the inclusion of tracks written by Ray Griff (Monday 22 April 1940 - Wednesday 9 March 2016), Dave Kirby (Sunday 10 July 1938 - Saturday 17 April 2004), Tom T. Hall (Monday 25 May 1936 - Friday 20 August 2021) and Wynn Stewart (Thursday 7 June 1934 - Wednesday 17 July 1985)'.

Gene Watson's 'Between This Time & The Next Time' was produced by Russ Reeder and Gene Watson for G-J Productions.

Gene Watson's 'Between This Time & The Next Time', which was recorded at Sound Emporium Studios, Nashville (Recording and Mixing Engineer: Jim Williamson), reached No.38 on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart in 1981.
